John Grove
John Grove is an experienced operations’ executive with over 30 years of success in the Biotech and Pharmaceuticals industries, having started up and managed several manufacturing facilities. As principal of his own BioPharma consulting company, he recently completed a two-year engagement as Chief Operating Officer of a privately owned in-vitro diagnostics company, where he effected a major financial turnaround. He has been successful in Manufacturing Operations for clinical trial materials and commercial products, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain management. He has played key roles in the start-up and launch of food ingredient and pharmaceutical products. He provided primary leadership for Amylin Pharmaceuticals for cGMP manufacturing of bulk drug substance, finished sterile dosage forms, and injector pens for their two first-in-class diabetes products. John led the engineering design for the first commercial manufacturing facility of a parenteral biologic while at Northfield Laboratories. John was also responsible for the successful construction, start-up, and operation of the first facility to manufacture NutraSweet® brand of aspartame. John holds a Chemical Engineering degree from Purdue University and has completed MBA coursework at Drexel University and the University of Tennessee.
